Types of Membership
There are two types of membership: Individual
and Institutional.
Both receive the same benefits.
Member institutions receive two copies of each DEANZ publication
and may send two staff members to any DEANZ function at a discounted
rate.
Membership Benefits
- As a member you will become part of the growing national
and international distance and open learning community.
- DEANZ has three publications which you will receive free:
- the Journal of Distance Learning, an international,
referred, high quality journal published annually. It
contains articles about current research and practice
in distance and open learning;
- the DEANZ newsletter, published at least twice a year,
keeps you up-to-date with national and local activities
and developments;
- A biennial membership directory.
- As a member you will be eligible to apply for the DEANZ
Award which was established in 1993 to encourage research
and development in distance and open learning.
- DEANZ holds a biennial conference which is a forum for
presenting research papers, sharing good practice, showcasing
technological developments and listening to national and international
keynote speakers.
You may attend regional DEANZ seminars and workshops held
annually.
