Kia ora. I have been Director of the CADeL since the beginning of 2000. Prior to that I held the role of Training Consultant (Teaching and Learning) in the CADeL and before that was Senior Lecturer at Dunedin College of Education responsible for the Secondary Teacher Training programme at the Southland Campus.
I have a MEd (Hons) from Massey University as well as a BSc and a Postgraduate Diploma in Science from Otago University.
I have a particular interest in the implementation of institutional staff development policies and programmes and the development of a "professional development culture" within an institution. I have considerable experience in the development and support of tertiary teaching and learning. I have also a strong interest in the development and implementation of E-Learning and currently chair the University's "Online Learning and Monitoring Group" as well as represent the University on the Australasian Committee for Open, Distance and E-Learning (ACODE). |
