I am a senior lecturer in distance and online education in the College of Education at Massey University. I have been working with technology in learning situations for the last 15 years in the USA, Japan, Australia and New Zealand. My recent and ongoing work is in the development of blended learning systems which create productive combinations of face-to-face, online and distance education. My research interests include social learning theory, technology mediated social processes, online social presence and online teaching.
